Code Ninjas at THS (Grades 1-4) Robotics in Lego®

Robotics in LEGO® - Throughout this camp, Ninjas will make silly dancing robots, a working safe with password detection, a racing rhino and more! Using the LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime robotics kit, Ninjas will learn the fundamentals of how to design, build and code robots. They will also apply their new knowledge of sensors, motors and coding as they construct their own creations. The coding for the robot for older kids can be done in Python. Robotics adventures await! Join us for a camp full of creativity, fun and collaboration as we introduce your Ninja to the worlds of engineering and computer programming using the LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime set and Python Programming Language.

Code Ninjas at THS (Grades 1-4) Game Building with Scratch

Game building in SCRATCH (level 1) - Ninjas will explore different programming concepts as they create various games inspired by Breakout, Snake, Flappy Bird and more using a block-based programming language called Scratch—a kid-friendly, visual programming environment developed by MIT. Our team will introduce basic game design and programming concepts like loops, functions and even video detection to create their own games.

Let’s Speak Chinese (Grades PreK-4) NEW Instructor

In the Talk Chinese program, we create a dynamic and immersive learning environment for children to explore and embrace the beauty of Chinese language and traditions through a variety of interactive activities, games, movement and music. Our instructor leads the class with enthusiasm and expertise, ensuring that children have a fun and engaging experience while learning. Whether your child is just beginning their journey in learning Chinese or is already an advanced student, our program is tailored to accommodate learners of all levels. During the classes, children will have ample opportunities to engage in meaningful conversations, practice vocabulary and enhance their pronunciation skills. My First Craft Fair (Grades PreK-2) 

Tuesdays 3:10-4:10 p.m.: 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, 11/26, 12/3

Let’s get crafty! Young entrepreneurs will create handmade items to “sell” to other “vendors” at their very own craft fair! In this program, students will learn about craft fairs and the ingenuity and creativity of the small business entrepreneur. They will produce goods and learn to create appealing advertising and displays. Other related topics will be discussed such as counting currency, budgeting, profit margins, buying and selling and assessing the quality of goods. Instructor Jessica McIntrye

My First Passport (Grades PreK-2)

This fun program helps students develop a global mindset and build international awareness early in life. Explore cultural differences across countries, geography games, famous landmarks, world currencies, current global events, the role of international institutions like the UN and more. Students role play as diplomats and come up with solutions for key global problems like hunger, poverty and pollution. Instructor Cici Cai

Science Explorers (Grades K-4) - Three Thematic Units

Thursdays 3:10-4:10 p.m.: 9/19, 9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 11/7, 11/14, 11/21, 12/5 

  • Slime After Slime: Join in the fun as we make different slime creations over this 3-week intro into the wonderful world of polymers. We’ll also experiment with magnetic fields as we make a very “attractive” slime, and we’ll explore the electromagnetic spectrum as we create a variety of different types of slime that change color as if by magic in UV light.
  • Good Vibrations: Why does the shriek of a siren change as it passes by? Can a person’s singing voice really crack a glass? We’ll keep the good vibrations coming as we investigate the world of sounds and sound energy. Have a percussion party, make musical instruments and experiment with echolocation. Can you hear me now?
  • Pop, Bang, Fizz: A pinch of this, a dash of that, some wild reactions are where it’s at! Mix up a frozen ice cream treat and a fizzy bath popper to clean your feet. You won’t believe what our mixing fun can teach some science before it’s done. With a pop or a bang or even some fizz, you have just become a chemistry whiz!

Field Hockey (Grades 1-4)

Delaware Sharks Field Hockey Club is partnering with Tower Hill to offer an introduction to field hockey for grades 1-4. Athletes will learn field hockey basics through a mix of skills drills and fun games. All skill levels welcome! Contact Jen Zuck at [email protected] for more information.

Martial Arts (Grades K-4) NEW DAY of the week!

In this fun and empowering program, students will gain confidence, sharpen their focus and develop their self control through the practical martial art of jiu jitsu! Students will learn life saving self-defense techniques as well as bully proofing tips! This program is taught by Stephen Plyler, 3rd degree black belt and owner of Elevated Studios Martial Arts in the Forty Acres neighborhood of Wilmington. Price includes uniform and belt promotion. Petite Yogi (Grades K-4)

This introduction to yoga incorporates playful movements and games in a noncompetitive environment. Tennis (Grades K-4)

Excellence Tennis Academy Director David Taylor will lead this camp alongside experienced and skilled coaches.

This tennis class introduces children to the game of tennis utilizing various drills, games and fun structured play to enhance learning progression. The goal of this program is to get your children playing the game and having fun with the sport. Coach Dave has been working with kids of all ages at various schools in DE and PA over the past 15 years. ARTS / MUSIC

Acting (Grades K-4) 

Fridays 3:10-4:10 p.m.: 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25, 11/15, 11/22 Performance

Join Child Drama Workshops for this interactive drama workshop including creative movement, theater exercises and improvisational role playing. Students will learn the fundamentals of the theater including stage geography and terminology. Basic acting techniques such as concentration, emotional awareness and characterization are explored. This creative experience allows for children to express themselves imaginatively by improvising favorite stories and original ideas. Costume accessories and props will be used to enhance creativity during the workshop. An original and improvisation-based play will be presented to parents and peers on the final day of class 11/22. THS DANCE - Pom Pom and Hip Hop Classes (Grades PreK-4)  

Mondays 3:10-4:10 p.m.: 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/21, 10/28, 11/11, 11/18, 11/25 Performance

Children will learn the basics of Hip Hop and pom emphasizing proper technique and terminology, which are an essential foundation in the performing art of dance. The class will include an original and creative approach using pom poms and great music. In every class, students will participate in age appropriate activities that engage the students’ interest while encouraging them to improve their skills and gain an appreciation for this art form. Parents are invited on the last day for a performance! Fee includes costume but not attire.

Dance Attire: Girls wear leggings, comfy shirt and sneakers. Boys wear track or sweat pants, comfy shirt and sneakers.

Painting With A Twist (Grades 1-4) 

Wednesdays 3:10-4:30 p.m.: 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/20, 12/4

Create six paintings that explore the fall season. We will embrace fall colors and creations. We will nurture each child’s creative ability. Every two weeks your child will bring home a painting they can proudly display in your home or office or give as gifts to family and friends.

School of Rock: Little Wings (Grades TT-PK) 

Wednesdays 3:10-4:10 p.m.: 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/20, 12/4

Little Wing is School of Rock’s music program for 3- to 5-year-olds. This music program features a special, rock-focused curriculum where students play games and engage in activities to help them internalize the foundational skills they will use as their musical abilities grow. Each class, School of Rock uses classic rock hits to teach rhythm, song structure, melody, dynamics and more through play.

School of Rock: Rookies Program: (Grades K-2)

Fridays 3:10-4:10 p.m.: 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18, 10/25, 11/15, 11/22, 12/6 

Rookies is a music program designed for young learners (K-2) with no previous musical experience. As with all our music programs, Rookies uses the patented School of Rock Method. Performance-based music education is the best and most enjoyable way for students to gain musical proficiency. Rookies students have one weekly group music lesson where they learn music fundamentals like chords, rhythm and song structure. Rookies learn and experiment with multiple instruments like vocals, guitar and drums, so they are then able to decide which one they want to try at the next level, our Rock 101 program.


* Due to the nature of the classes in our enrichment program, refunds will no longer be granted.

Students will be dismissed from school to Kaleidoscope staff/class instructor and given a snack prior to class. After class, registered students attending the Kaleidoscope After School Program will be picked up by staff and brought to the Kaleidoscope building. Students who are not enrolled in the Kaleidoscope, should be picked up promptly by their parent or caregiver in the designated enrichment classroom. Children not picked up within 10 minutes of the end of class will join Kaleidoscope After School, and families will be charged accordingly at the drop-in rate. 

Please note: Children that need to attend Kaleidoscope after their enrichment class for the remaining part of that day will need to register on homeroom for an additional hour or two for that given day. For example: (one hour after their enrichment class, register for the 4 p.m. pick up time; two hours after enrichment class, register for the 5 p.m. pick up time, etc.)
