Greg Rogers of Chess Masters of Delaware offers his expertise in teaching Tower Hill students how to play chess and improve their current level of competence. The benefits of chess are numerous. Dashing Through the Code - Snow Games: Immerse your child in the frosty fun of game design! Ninjas will start with the basics before leveling up to build three unique winter-inspired games. Beginning with starter game templates, kids will explore and design platformer games, randomness and different player challenges, all with a chilly twist. And bonus! The club wraps up with an epic winter game jam, where Ninjas create their own snow-covered games. Whether your kid is a Microsoft MakeCode Arcade novice or an experienced game creator, this club will elevate their skills and bring their winter gaming visions to life in a uniquely cool and imaginative setting!

Artificial Explore - Understanding Artificial Intelligence (AI): In this club, ninjas will learn how AI works and learn to train AI by providing data in a safe environment. They will also generate art and music with AI throughout the club. Ninjas will have the chance to experiment with various AI features in a guided environment, including generating winter-themed art and music with AI, while also exploring the concept of semantic networks. Ninjas will train the Teachable Machine with different data samples, allowing them to create and test their own unique AI-driven models.

Tower Hill is excited to offer “Emotion Explorers: A Nature Self-Regulation Group” in partnership with Pediatric Occupational Therapist Liz Downing of In the Woods OT. This unique enrichment program will provide students with an opportunity to grow their self-regulation skills and strengthen their self-awareness. Utilizing resources from the Powerfully You™ curriculum and providing the opportunity for structured group play, Ms. Downing helps students find ways to recognize and manage their emotions. This facilitated group will be limited to six students in each grade level class, as it will provide a safe space for the children to develop a focused connection to nature and their peers. Included in the price, parents will also have the option to schedule a one-on-one consultation with Liz during the course of the class. Over the six weeks, students will gain confidence, learn strategies to navigate the social world and build relationships with peers all while immersed in nature.
My First Cocoa Stand by SPARK Business Academy (Grades 3-4)

Learn how to make yummy hot cocoa and earn money selling it! A hot cocoa stand is a great way to introduce our youngest entrepreneurs to the world of business and have fun! From designing marketing flyers to estimating profits to experimenting with recipes, students have fun while developing business savvy! Become a creator and a mini-maker! A creative entrepreneurship program where students design and make their own crafts using kid-friendly materials. Students learn simple pricing, packaging and what makes a product appealing while exploring art, design and imagination. Science Explorers Spectacular Science Mash-Up: Get ready for a thrilling mix of science, creativity and mind-blowing discoveries! You’ll become a science magician, see how art and science combine and experience a mash-up of the coolest topics in STEM. One week you might master science magic—like making an egg sink or float on command, making water vanish before your eyes or cutting a hole in a piece of paper big enough to walk through. Another week you’ll turn science into art by building a spin-art machine, painting with fizzing colors, creating vibrant dyes from nature and exploring optical illusions that trick your brain. And just when you think you’ve seen it all, we’ll dive into hands-on mash-ups like making buttery-soft slime, experimenting with physics and gravity-defying challenges, uncovering microscopic mysteries and building an oscilloscope to project mesmerizing light patterns. If you love to experiment, create and amaze your friends with what you discover, this club is your backstage pass to the most magical, messy and mind-blowing side of science!

In this fun and empowering program, students will gain confidence, sharpen their focus and develop their self control through the practical martial art of jiu jitsu! Students will learn life saving self-defense techniques as well as bully proofing tips! This program is taught by Stephen Plyler, 3rd degree black belt and owner of Elevated Studios Martial Arts in the Forty Acres neighborhood of Wilmington. Price includes uniform and belt promotion. Little Stix Lacrosse is a mobile lacrosse program for children ages 3-8, and is strictly non-contact, coed and will provide all equipment needed for the program. Children are taught the basics of scooping, cradling, passing and shooting through fun and silly games. For the past four years, they have been the official “Youth Lacrosse Starter Program” of the Philadelphia Wings / Comcast Spectator, and is excited to come to the Tower Hill School this upcoming Spring season. Child Drama Workshop (Grades K–4)

Performance - 5/12 at 4 p.m.
Join Child Drama Workshops for this interactive drama workshop including creative movement, theater exercises and improvisational role playing. Students will learn the fundamentals of the theater including stage geography and terminology. Basic acting techniques such as concentration, emotional awareness and characterization are explored. This creative experience allows children to express themselves imaginatively by improvising favorite stories and original ideas. Costume accessories and props will be used to enhance creativity during the workshop. An original and improvisation-based play will be presented to parents and peers on the final day of class on Tuesday, May 12. Mark your calendars! Loom knitting offers a cozy, hand-crafted look without the challenge of managing traditional knitting needles, making it an inviting entry point for students of all experience levels. In this upbeat class, students explore round and straight looms to recreate the familiar stitches and textures of classic knitting and crocheting, all through a simpler and speedier process. Along the way, they try fun, hands-on projects—such as plush stuffed animals, soft ear muffs and warm mittens—that build confidence while sparking creativity.
By the end of the season, students will have practiced essential fiber-arts techniques, experimented with pattern-making and developed the skills needed to design their own cozy creations. These flexible foundations allow instructors to adapt projects to different ages and interests while keeping the class engaging and approachable.
Painting with a Twist (Grades 1-4)

Little Wings is School of Rock’s music program for 3- to 5-year-olds. This music program features a special, rock-focused curriculum where students play games and engage in activities to help them internalize the foundational skills they will use as their musical abilities grow. THS Dance - Ballet at the Barre (Grades PreK-4)

Performance 5/11 at 3:45-4:10 p.m. Dancers will perform techniques and a variety of dances.
Children will learn the basics of ballet emphasizing proper technique and terminology, which are an essential foundation in the performing art of dance. Our instruction will include barre work this year! In every class, students will participate in age appropriate activities that engage the students’ interest while instructing proper technique and an appreciation for this art form. Parents are invited on the last day for a performance! The fee includes costume but not attire.
Dance Attire: Girls wear leggings, comfy shirts and sneakers. Boys wear track or sweatpants, comfy shirts and sneakers. A dance bag is suggested for all their belongings.
THS Dance - Jazz and Tap (Grades PreK-4)

Performance 5/14 at 3:45 p.m. Children will perform a variety of dances in both jazz and tap!
This class will combine and develop tap rhythm, timing and musicality through percussive footwork and expressive, high-energy movements, leaps, kicks and turns in jazz! Students will gain coordination, strength and flexibility while building a foundation in both dance styles!
Dance Attire: Girls wear leggings, comfy shirts and sneakers. Boys wear track or sweatpants, comfy shirts and sneakers. Jazz and Tap shoes highly recommended. A dance bag is suggested for all their belongings.
* Due to the nature of the classes in our enrichment program, refunds will no longer be granted.
Students will be dismissed from school to Kaleidoscope staff/class instructor and given a snack prior to class. After class, registered students attending the Kaleidoscope After School Program will be picked up by staff and brought to the Kaleidoscope building. Students who are not enrolled in the Kaleidoscope, should be picked up promptly by their parent or caregiver in the designated enrichment classroom. Children not picked up within 10 minutes of the end of class will join Kaleidoscope After School, and families will be charged accordingly at the drop-in rate.
Please note: Children that need to attend Kaleidoscope after their enrichment class for the remaining part of that day will need to register on homeroom for an additional hour or two for that given day. For example: (one hour after their enrichment class, register for the 4 p.m. pick up time; two hours after enrichment class, register for the 5 p.m. pick up time, etc.)
